Spot Welder 1st shift Monday – Thursday

Experience Requirements

Basic reading, writing, and math skills required
Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures, machinery, and blueprint reading

Education Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include using resistance welding/spot welding methods to complete projects. Able to weld various metals with little or no supervision, ability to spot weld complex parts for jobs, follow required procedures and use appropriate jigs and fixtures for the assembly process. Must be able to perform basic maintenance of equipment as required and keep supervisor informed of necessary maintenance beyond minimal operator ability. Must work as a team with other welders using various welding techniques to complete projects. Must be able to read and understand blueprints. Sets up equipment and spot welds parts, using resistance welding equipment.

Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and lead personnel to complete production requirements to service the customer.
  • Strong teamwork orientation; willing to train or assist other, less experienced operators.
  • Punctual and dependable, placing a high priority on producing throughout scheduled hours and excellent attendance
