Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Estimator is a member of the Wald Wire Engineering and Estimating team and, as such, is responsible for the successful completion of the functions of that department which include; estimating costs associated with specific customer requests, calculating pricing to align with Wald Wire pricing structure, interpreting drawings to production, management and customers, and providing exceptional customer service and timely responses to customer inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to existing and potential customers by providing prompt and accurate responses to all inquiries
• Analyze customer drawings, blueprint and other information provided to determine materials needed and production methods required to produce a quality part
• Establish customer prices
• Enter pricing, bill of materials, routings and documents into E2 upon receipt of order
• Maintain all company data pertaining to engineering and estimating, making changes and additions promptly and without error
• Contribute to enhancing Wald Wire performance and capabilities by providing assistance to other departments as engineering and estimating issues arise
• Conduct machine capability and tool data gathering to assist production personnel with developing processes for new and existing parts that promote efficiency and adherence to specification.
