Post-secondary education in fabrication, preferred
Prior experience with metal fabrication operations and equipment

Summary

Wald Wire is looking for a weekend shift laser operator to join our 20th Ave team. We provide on the job training for all new team members including blue print reading!. This team member should have some knowledge of blueprints, have experience in operating a laser, has great attention to detail, and is willing to learn. Wald Wire offers a great environment for learning new skills and provides the opportunity to learn alongside experienced team members in a small fast growing environment.

Summary -3 Day Work Week!!!

• Weekend shift: 6am-6:30 pm Friday-Sunday
• Work 36; get paid for 40 hours
• Must have 1 year of laser experience
• Potential to make up to $24 per hour (includes $2 per hour shift differential)

Essential Functions:

• Ensure work is performed following all safety protocols while using proper safety equipment
• Ensure all procedures, work instructions and print requirements are followed to ensure accurate quality parts are produced to meet customer expectations
• Provide troubleshooting and process improvement ideas to ensure continuous growth of the department
• Ensure pertinent KPI standards are being successfully met
• Ensure routine machine maintenance is completed as assigned

Qualifications

• Knowledge of metal fabrication operations, capabilities, and equipment
• Ability to prioritize work, multi-task and demonstrate adaptability in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret blueprints, product drawings, and specifications
• Basic mathematical skills
