Experience Requirements

Previous estimating or quoting experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Experience reading blueprints and technical drawings preferred
Manufacturing, fabrication, or engineering support experience preferred
Experience with ERP or shop management systems preferred
Strong computer proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office required
Customer service and project coordination experience is a plus

Education Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
Additional education or technical training in manufacturing, engineering, drafting, or business is preferred

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

As an Estimator, you’ll support customers and internal teams by developing accurate quotes, interpreting specifications, and helping improve manufacturing processes.

  • Respond promptly to quote requests and customer inquiries
  • Monitor company email inboxes and customer communications
  • Analyze blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Calculate materials, labor, and production costs
  • Generate and process official quotes through E2
  • Maintain accurate pricing, routing, and bill of material data
  • Work with customers to gather additional project information and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist production and quality teams with blueprint interpretation and process improvements
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and manufacturing efficiency
  • Help maintain quote turnaround goals and department KPIs
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within Engineering & Estimating

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who is analytical, organized, and comfortable balancing customer communication with technical manufacturing knowledge.

  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and product drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic math and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
