Production Floater

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Summary

Wald Wire is looking for a weekday shift Production Floater to join our 20th Ave team. We provide on the job training for all new team members including blue print reading! This team member should have some knowledge of blueprints, have experience in running in band saw, drilling, tapping, and various other machinery. This candidate should have great attention to detail, and is willing to learn. Wald Wire offers a great environment for learning new skills and provides the opportunity to learn alongside experienced team members in a small fast growing environment.

• Weekday shift: Monday through Friday 6am-2:30 pm
• Ensure work is performed following all safety protocols while using proper safety equipment
• Ensure all procedures, work instructions and print requirements are followed to ensure accurate quality parts are produced to meet customer expectations
• Provide troubleshooting and process improvement ideas to ensure continuous growth of the department
• Ensure pertinent KPI standards are being successfully met
• Ensure routine machine maintenance is completed as assigned
• Band saw, drilling, tapping, milling, punch press, metal stamping, or deburring.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of metal fabrication operations, capabilities, and equipment
• Ability to prioritize work, multi-task and demonstrate adaptability in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret blueprints, product drawings, and specifications
• Basic mathematical skills
• Strong communication skills
• Troubleshooting and process improvement
• Ability to understand mechanical issues
• Ability to pass expected certifications
• Ability to read and use measurement tools
• Strong attention to detail
