Weekend Press Brake Operator – Fri-Sun 6-6:30pm – 36 hours get paid for 40! – $2 Differential
Experience Requirements
Previous press brake and metal fabrication experience is required. Experience operating Cincinnati or Amada press brake machinery is preferred.
Education Requirements
High school diploma or GED required. Postsecondary education or technical training in fabrication is preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate press brake machinery safely and efficiently.
- Follow established procedures, work instructions, blueprints, and print requirements.
- Read and interpret product drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Select appropriate operating programs from the database.
- Mount and set up fixtures for production jobs.
- Inspect completed parts to ensure they meet customer and quality requirements.
- Use measuring equipment to confirm part dimensions and accuracy.
- Perform routine machine maintenance as needed.
- Identify mechanical or production concerns and assist with troubleshooting.
- Recommend opportunities to improve processes, quality, and efficiency.
- Meet or exceed applicable departmental performance expectations.
- Follow all safety and personal protective equipment requirements.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Complete other duties as assigned by Wald Wire management.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and use hands to handle or manipulate materials throughout the shift.
- Ability to walk, stoop, bend, crouch, and reach above shoulder level.
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds independently.
- Ability to move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Must have the close, distance, peripheral, and depth vision necessary to safely perform the position.
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating a press brake machine.
- Experience with Cincinnati or Amada press brake equipment is preferred.
- Understanding of metal fabrication processes, equipment, and capabilities.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and product specifications.
- Ability to use measurement tools accurately.
- Basic math skills for measurements and production calculations.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to prioritize work and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Clear and accurate communication skills.
- Ability to obtain any required certifications.
